Electrician Notes
Electrical Panel Replacement:
1. Federal Pacific panels were very popular in the 80s and 90s. Some of this brand of panel have been known to overheat and could cause a fire. A circuit breaker is designed to trip during an overload or short circuit, thereby cutting off the flow of power and preventing a fire. If the breaker doesn’t trip, the increasing current can cause the wires to overheat and possibly ignite. Federal Pacific panels have overheated under normal circumstances. We would recommend changing the panel.
2. Provide and install (1) new 200amp main breaker, 42-space Square D panel, replacing the existing Federal Pacific panels as follows:

· (6) 1p 20amp breakers
· (1) 2p 20amp GFCI protected breaker

· (2) 2p 50amp breakers
